Also known as Narrow Leaved Arrowhead and Dwarf Sagittaria.
This plant is fairly easy to grow and only requires medium light and therefore ideal for beginners.
It has long thick grass like leaves and when planted in dense numbers (2–4 cm apart) the plant grows to 5–15 cm in height and can form a dense carpet on the aquarium floor with the numerous runners that it sends out.
It is planted less densely it can grow up to 60 cm in height and if it is allowed to grow to the surface of the water it may produce small white flowers.
Propagation is undertaken by pinching off the runners that it sends out and planting them directly into the substrate.
