Water Clover is native to South-East Asia. It is a water fern that has everything going for it and very little to complain about. It changes form somewhat according to the aquarium conditions, but whether it’s staying put in low light or virtually skipping along the substrate in the high light, Water Clover is a mighty morpher with a lot of ranges. The Dwarf Water Clover is a totally undemanding plant with enormous appeal as a ground cover.
Because it is such an easy plant to grow, it is recommended for hobbyists at every level of experience. While the plant is whimsical in an aquascape, all of its forms are attractive and form runners that quickly fill in the foreground of the aquarium with a low, dense cover in delicate shades of green. Though this plant will do perfectly fine in low light and a variety of water conditions, to see it at its very best, supply it with bright light, nutrients, and a modest amount of supplemental CO2.
