MoneywortBacopa monnieri

This is an aquatic plant which is perfect for beginners. It is a stem marsh plant which is very hardy, not to demanding and easy to grow.

It has unique foliage consisting of bright green, almost lime coloured, slender leaves. If it reaches the top of the water it will continue to grow on top of the water surface and can produce white or pink flowers.

Propagation is easily undertaken by pinching off the vertical shoots and replanting them in the substrate or letting the plant reach the surface and cutting off the shoots as it grows across the surface of the water. CO₂ injection is not required, but will enhance growth.
