Haworthia turgida is a species of Haworthia which is native to Southern Africa. In its natural habitat it can be found growing on limestone cliffs above water.
It grows less than 15 cm (6 inches) high.
It is virtually stemless. The leaves form a rosette 10 cm (4 inches) in diameter. They can be olive-green or rusty-red.
In spring it produces small, slender flowers which are brownish white in colour.
This is a particularly interesting, delightful plant with plenty of character.
