Origin
Asia
This plant originates from Asia. It is small, robust in appearance and hardy. The fine, green, needle-like leaves are arranged in whorls along the stem and individual stems should be planted in groups about 3–4 cm apart to create a dense, bushy appearance.
When the plant reaches the surface, it will grow horizontally across the water. It is adaptable to harder water and many aquarium conditions, making it an ideal plant for beginners, although it does require a good source of iron.
Propagation is undertaken through cuttings, side shoots and runners. This plant is a weed, so it will require constant trimming to keep it manageable.
