Lawyer’s Tongue is a species of succulent native to the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. In its natural habitat it can be found growing on rocky slopes and outcrops. It can grow up to 50 cm (20 inches) tall.
It usually forms rosettes of untidy looking dark green leaves, which are shiny and mottled in appearance. They have sharp tips, so handle with care! They grow up to 20 cm long (8 inches).
The bell-shaped flowers grow on 30 cm (12 inch) long stalks, and are pink or orange in colour.
This is an interesting succulent that will make an ideal house plant.
