Echinodorus tenellus ‘Green’

This is an aquatic plant that is relatively easy to grow. It is one of the smallest aquarium plants, and the smallest of all the echinodorus varieties.

It is able to create a dense lawn look with its 7 cm long leaves which are 2 mm wide. In its natural habitat it occupies the edges of large rivers.

Echinodorus tenellus ‘Green’ needs to be planted in nutritious substrate in order for its roseate form to be displayed at its best.

This is an undemanding plant that will remain fresh green even under intense light, unlike the usual tenellus which fades to red.
