Southern BacopaBacopa australis

This is a beautiful aquatic plant that was only scientifically described in 2001. It comes from the Serra da Bodoquena region of southern Brazil, where it grows in calcareous rivers.

It has a gorgeous light green colour which contrasts splendidly with any red plants you may have in your tank. In good light, it will spread to form a carpet across the bottom of the tank.

It may also produce pretty pale blue flowers, if allowed to grow to the surface.
