Water WisteriaHygrophila difformis

This plant is found in marshy habitats of Southern Asia, where it can grow to a height of between 20–30 cm with a width of between 15–25 cm.

For best growing results good light is required, with nutrient rich water and substrate. It will also benefit from injections of CO₂, making it ideal for tropical aquaria, where it will protect fry and help purify the water.

​Propagation is easily undertaken by cutting off the top of the stem and replanting it in the substrate, where roots will develop very quickly.

This is an ideal plant for new aquaria because of its fast growth rate.
