The Dragon Tree is a sub-tropical plant that is native to the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Madeira and Morocco. It is not a true tree; it is in fact a type of asparagus! (You can’t eat it though). It is considered endangered in the wild.
It is a slow growing plant that can reach a height of well over 12 metres (40 feet). It is also long-lived; the oldest known specimen is about 300 years old.
This unusual plant is a cultivar of the Jade Plant, and therefore is not found in the wild. It is a succulent shrub that grows to about 3 feet (1 metre) tall. It looks like a small tree.
The leaves are tubular, and look like distorted fingers. They are bright green in colour.
The Mexican Blue Palm is a species of Palm Tree native to the Baja Peninsular in North America. It is a desert plant that can tolerate very hot days and cold nights and is frost resistant down to -10 °C (14 °F), so it is ideal for a British garden.
It is a slow growing plant that can reach 15 meters (45 feet) in height. The trunk is stout, about 45 cm (18 inches) wide. It can live up to 100 years.

Frangipani is a tropical tree native to Central America, although now grown all over the world. It has bright flowers which bloom in a variety of colours, and is a popular ornamental plant.
Frangipani grows to a height of between 7–8 metres (21–24 feet) and has a thick trunk with thin, grey bark. The branches are brittle and easily break off.
